Pitch Deck Templates

Our decks go beyond attractive designs, to include the real metrics, graphs and tables you will need to include if you want your capital raising proposition to be compelling to it's intended audience.

Our templates and presentations are more than just slides; they present your business model with clarity, in a compelling narrative that investors will get excited about. Our decks are designed to capture investors attention by showcasing your unique value proposition and competitive advantage, whilst hitting the financial metrics and data points that investors expect to see when reviewing a deck.

Why Choose Our Slide Deck Templates?

Most investors see hundreds (if not thousands) of investment presentations each year. It's really hard to stand out, and often your presentation can be overlooked by making small mistakes in how you present your company information and story.

In the notes of all of our decks, are comprehensive coaching notes around what information to include in each slide, and how to present that information in a correct, informative and positive light.

Narrative Storytelling Meets Professional Design: Our pitch deck slide templates are a great start on your journey to raise funding. Designed for Canva and Google Slides, our pitch deck slide templates marry modern design with consistent design elements, ensuring your business presentations tell a strong company and brand story.

We Include the Metrics, Numbers, Graphs and Financial Elements that Are Essential to Your Business Model: Most slide decks that you'll download are just pretty designs. Our decks are much more than this, and on every slide there are comprehensive notes about the exact metrics investors want to see, guidance on what each table is intending to communicate and what financial information to include (and exclude).

Tailored for Each Stage of the Capital Raising Process: From a 2-page teaser, through to a 18-21 page pitch deck, to a full 68 page investment memorandum, our templates cater to every capital raising need and every stage of the process. We've created decks you can send to generate interest at the early stages, then a more comprehensive 18-21 page story to obtain first round meetings, then a Full IM for investors who progress to later stages.

Versatile and User-friendly: Embrace the power of our digital tools with templates that offer ease of editing. Whether you're crafting a compelling founding story for your start-up or a detailed analysis of the market, editing our templates in Canva and Google Slides format allow you to customize and showcase your ideas with ease.

Coaching Notes: Our decks are like having an experienced Corporate Advisor in your pocket, without paying the 5% success fee and retainer! Every slide comes with comprehensive coaching notes explaining why this information is important to investors, where to look for external data sources, how to compile graphs, what data points to bring together into graphic depictions. We explain the types of financial and metric progress investors want to see in your numbers, and how to message numbers that aren't so complimentary. We coach you to show your honest depictions, and explain the things you're working on, and the things you've nailed already. These notes are invaluable in deciding what parts of your business to narrate at every stage of the capital raising process.

Our Pitch Deck Collection: A Glance at What’s Inside
2 Page Teasers Investment Teaser

We've created a early-stage resource called a 2 Page Teaser - which is great for the really early stages of your raise, and for putting your company highlights in front of a broad range of investors without compromising a lot of your confidentiality. You can create this template and send it out to a broad mailing list (without giving away your unique IP), then interested parties can come back and ask for your pitch deck.

  • 2 Page Teaser - SaaS
  • 2 Page Teaser - Ecommerce & Marketplaces
  • 2 Page Teaser - Tech Enabled Services (Coming Soon)
18-21 Page Pitch Deck Templates

Our Templates are Great Presentations... plus Capital Raising Coaching

Our templates go beyond basic design slide templates; they are a creative solution designed to communicate the critical financial and business information necessary for a successful capital raise.

What's more important than design however, is that every slide comes with coaching notes attached, clearly describing how to present your business data, metrics and financial information in a way that is extremely compelling for investors. We tell you specifically what information to include, and how to present complex concepts visually. We share the metrics that matter, and coach you to exclude the ones that don't matter. We direct you to the type of research you need to conduct on your market, and where to look for information to bring into your presentation to support your investment thesis.

Pitch Deck Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do you structure a pitch deck?

In our opinion, a good pitch deck starts with the 'why' - what compelled you to start the company and how did that happen? Investors love an origin story! They love the hustle and ingenuity of people starting an innovative company from nothing. Then, move onto the what: what is your business model, what is your platform. You don't have to get into the nitty gritty, they want to understand your business model in the context of other successful business models that are similar. After the what, talk about the 'who'. Who are your potential customers and users? How many of these people are out there (ideally, a lot). How do you reach these people and what makes them tick? Then after all of that, they want to know how big the business can get, how do you scale it to something massive.

Focus less on the deck, and focus on how to tell your business story in a narratively cohesive way.

Q: How do I make a pitch deck template

We recommend you start with our 2 Page Teaser and pile all the recommended metrics on a page, then send your teaser out to relevant investors (you can download a full list of investors from our site). Then, once you've got a bite, work on our 18-19 page pitch deck template. Compiling our 18-19 page pitch deck is a great second step in the process, and this deck can be presented in first round meetings with investors that have been interested in your teaser.

Once you move beyond the first round process, you'll need to compile a full investment memorandum (IM). We offer massive 68-70 page IM templates, allowing you to select the most relevant parts of your story and compile what we recommend is a 45-50 slide IM deck that will help you move to the final stages of the process and (hopefully) to closing a deal.

Q: Is a pitch deck just PowerPoint?

When people use the term 'pitch deck' they mostly mean a narrative story telling of your company or business idea, on a PowerPoint template or something similar. We use Canva and Powerpoint. Focus less on the format, and more on how you tell the story of your big idea or business, and how that comes across to investors. Investors have varied criteria, so it's really critical that you tell your story in a way that appeals to their objectives in identifying good investment opportunities.

Q: What program is best to create a pitch deck?

In our opinion, the best platforms to create a pitch deck in are Canva (which has the best design flexibility) and PowerPoint or Google Slides - that has the best integrations with spreadsheets and other financial information you need to include in your pitch deck.

Our recommendation is to download our pitch decks (above) to start the process, then spend the bulk of the time pulling together the data that will back up your story. The data is really where your presentation will make the strongest impact on your investor audience. Once you get that together, based on our coaching notes in the decks, then you can finish the design very easily in our opinion.

Q: How do you make a killer pitch deck?

Investors are humans and humans love stories. You need to be a story teller to be good at capital raising. Good stories include a narrative ark, a battle and a resolution. Stories start with you setting the scene, explaining why you started your company, what problem you are solving and how big the problem is. Investors don't have the context of understanding your industry or your subject matter expertise. Before you compile your pitch deck, take the time to complete our narrative story telling exercise in our How to Build A Great Pitch Deck free eBook so you can get really clear about how to compile your deck to reinforce your narrative over and over again. Once you have your narrative clear, you build your killer pitch deck to reinforce your narrative.

Q: What makes your pitch deck templates stand out?

In our opinion, pitch decks stand out when they have a real clarity of message and a sequential narrative to them. When you create a pitch deck, they should start at the beginning (your founding story) and the why (the problem you solved) and then onto the business that resulted from the problem you endeavoured to solve. Having a clear pitch deck with a narrative thread shows a clarity of thinking and unique selling proposition. Investors like simplicity, because simple ideas usually work.

Decks with loads of copy and heaps of tables crammed onto the one slide are very common, and very boring. Investors expect more from your as a technology company, they expect clear messaging and a modern approach to deck building.

Our pitch deck templates are designed to be your best ally in crafting business presentations that capture your audience's attention effectively. With a focus on minimalist design, consistent colour schemes, and essential elements such as business model, unique value proposition, and competitive analysis, our templates help business professionals convey their message effectively with clarity and impact. Our amazing templates are available for PowerPoint and Google Slides, making them versatile digital tools for any presentation.

Q: How can I customize the slide templates to fit my business?

Customizing our slide deck templates is straightforward and user-friendly, thanks to the flexibility of presentation software like Canva, PowerPoint and Google Slides. However, the trick is not making slides look pretty (although we recommend you make an effort here), the trick is making your business look pretty. At the Funding Guide, we go further by explaining how you customise the data, financial information, metrics, tables and external data sources to reinforce your business story and prove what your saying to investors in ways they understand.

Our templates do let you easily edit text, swap out images, adjust colour schemes, and add key information to make the slide deck uniquely yours. Our templates serve as a creative foundation, allowing you to showcase your business idea, team, and market potential in an engaging and professional manner.

Q: Can these templates help me raise funding for my startup?

Absolutely! Our pitch deck templates are meticulously crafted to highlight key areas investors look for, including your business plan, competitive advantage, and potential market. By presenting this key information in a compelling and visually appealing format, you increase your business professionals' chances of capturing potential investors' and customers' interest, making our templates an invaluable tool in your efforts to raise funding. Our decks are like having a corporate advisor in your pocket, without the hefty success fees.

Q: Are there templates suitable for different stages of a business?

Yes, our collection includes a variety of deck templates tailored to various business stages and industries, including SaaS, Fintech, Ecommerce, and Tech-Enabled Services. Whether you're introducing a new project or seeking to expand your company, our templates provide a solid outline and engaging visual layout to convey your story and business model effectively to potential investors and customers.
